Candle Care

A well-cared-for candle rewards you with time, atmosphere, and quiet ritual.

Our candles are designed to be enjoyed slowly and intentionally.
Following these care guidelines will ensure the best burn, fragrance throw, and longevity from your Kind Essentials candle.

First Burn

The first burn is the most important.

Allow the candle to burn long enough for the wax to melt fully to the edges of the vessel. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the life of your candle.

Trim the Wick

Always trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn.

This helps:

  • Maintain a steady flame

  • Reduce soot

  • Extend the life of your candle

A trimmed wick creates a cleaner, more refined burn.

Burn Time

For best results:

  • Burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time

  • Allow the wax to cool and solidify before relighting

This preserves fragrance quality and protects the vessel.

Candle Placement

Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from:

  • Drafts

  • Direct sunlight

  • Flammable objects

Always burn within sight and keep out of reach of children and pets.

When to Stop Burning

Discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.

Burning beyond this point may cause the vessel to overheat.

Caring for Your Space

Our candles are crafted using high-quality fragrance oils. As with all fragranced products, sensitivity can vary.

We recommend:

  • Burning in a well-ventilated space

  • Allowing fragrance to gently fill the room

  • Extinguishing if irritation occurs

After Use

To extinguish your candle:

  • Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the wax and straighten it

  • Avoid blowing directly into the vessel

Once cooled, your candle vessel may be reused or recycled.
